THE FAIR!

Hello everyone! We are excited about our upcoming Emergency Preparedness Fair Friday, August 3rd at the Peach/Nees bldg. 6:00pm come and bring the whole family and learn about getting your household ready. Ready for what?

“We are living in the prophesied time ‘when peace shall be taken from the earth’ (D&C 1:35,) when ‘all things shall be in commotion’ and ‘men’s hearts shall fail them’ (D&C 88:91.) There are many temporal causes of commotion, including wars and natural disasters, but an even greater cause of current ‘commotion’ is spiritual.” Elder Dallin H. Oaks

“Many more people could ride out the storm-tossed waves in their economic lives if they had their year’s supply of food. . . and were debt-free. Today we find that many have followed this counsel in reverse: they have at least a year’s supply of debt and are food free.” President Thomas S. Monson

“Every father and mother are the family’s store keepers. They should store whatever their family would like to have in case of an emergency…(and) God will sustain us through our trials.” President James E. Faust

"Remember; when disaster strikes, the time to prepare has passed." Steven Cyros

"If ye are prepared ye shall not fear." D&C38:30

We are not afraid. We gladly make the little steps towards self-reliance everyday and do what we can now to be prepared for whatever may come. Don't forget this one: "Come what may and love it."

See you there!

Oh, and a swim party and dessert at the Barlockers after the Fair!
(Sorry, no dinner will be provided at this event. Just some light sampling and yummy dessert.)
