December

Hello sisters. I don't know about you, but I LOVE this time of year! The Christmas season is usually pretty busy for me and my family, so we are taking the month off. No ordering until after the new year. Take this month to enjoy the season and reflect on the past year. If any of you have made working on your food storage a goal we thank you for considering this important counsel. And we congratulate you on your efforts this year, no matter how big or small. Any step towards emergency preparedness is a good step. And if anyone needs a good New Years Resolution, maybe evaluate how prepared your family is currently. The following are the areas of emergency preparedness as listed on the Church's website about providentliving:

Family Emergency Planning

Church members are encouraged to prepare a simple emergency plan. Items to consider may include:
  • Three-month supply of food that is part of your normal daily diet.
  • Drinking water.
  • Financial reserves.
  • Longer-term supply of basic food items.
  • Medication and first aid supplies.
  • Clothing and bedding.
  • Important documents.
  • Ways to communicate with family following a disaster.
Maybe there is one or more areas where you see a need for improvement. May God bless you as you make the effort. Our best wishes to you and your families and a very Merry Christmas!
