Jenny's Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:
6 bell peppers, tops cut off, seeded, blanched in salted boiling water 3 minutes
1 lb. ground beef
2-3 cups cooked wheat berries
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can whole-kernel corn, drained
1 small can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp salt
breadcrumbs
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

1) Brown meat and drain the fat.
2) Combine the cooked meat, wheat berries, onion, corn, tomato sauce, cheese, and salt in a large pan. Heat through and simmer.
3) Prepare a casserole dish (large enough to hold 6 peppers) and spray with Pam. Fill each pepper with meat-wheat mixture. Place in dish and top each with breadcrumbs.
4) Pour 1/2 inch water n bottom of dish (carefully) and bake uncovered at 350 degrees 40-45 minutes.
